The Tribeca Film Fest Beckons

a couple of Bojon heads are behind two films showing at the tribeca film festival in NYC at the end of april.

first off is nicholas beermonger who co-produced "THE F WORD," a feature-length film showing at the fest. st. nick wrote in, saying:

I am extremely excited to announce the World Premiere of "THE F WORD" at the Tribeca Film Festival!

“The F Word,” director Jed Weintrob’s second feature film, is a fiction/documentary hybrid about Joe Pace, a radio talk show host whose program, “The F Word,” is being shut down by the F.C.C. after racking up over $1 million in unpaid indecency fines.  On his last day on the air, which coincides with the last day of the Republican National Convention, Joe sets off to broadcast his own one-man march through Manhattan.




Combining fictional scenes set among actual protests with documentary footage of people Joe meets along the way, Weintrob weaves together a seamless narrative.  It’s often impossible to tell the difference between fiction and reality.

The F Word is a true, guerilla-style indie (non-profit, $6,000 budget: blood, sweat and tears), offering an innovative political portrait of 21st century New York City and the current threat to free speech in America.

The film will screen THREE TIMES during the festival and there will be a Q&A with the director, producers and cast after each screening:

- Tuesday, April 26th at 9:00pm at the Pace Schimmel Center
- Thursday, April 28th at 3:15pm at the Regal Battery Park Screen #1
- Saturday, April 30th at 1:30pm at the Regal Battery Park Screen #7

second up is brother roberto, whose film "Alchemy" is also showing at the fest. wrote in roberto:

It is my pleasure to invite you to the world premiere of Black Sand Pictures' second feature film, "Alchemy", at the 2005 TriBeCa Film Festival on Monday April 25. The screening begins at 7pm sharp and will be followed by a party at the Mocca Lounge (78-82 Reade St.) hosted by Effen Vodka.




Tickets to the screening can be bought online at the Tribeca Film Festival website. There are two other screenings later in the week but I encourage you to come celebrate with us on premiere night.
