The Legend of the Fall
there's a new marshall in town...
stop the presses: the illustrious agent butter is a single man no longer.
that's right, boys and girls, brother gibbs took the plunge this past weekend as he and the debonair ms. kiffany exchanged nuptials during an intimate affair held at the Hans Fahden winery in Calistoga.
a grand day it was, as the plush backdrop of the Napa Valley provided an idyllic setting for this union to take place. everything was about perfect, right down to the magical zephyr that triumphantly manifested itself on cue as the pastor offered the traditional irish blessing, "may the wind be always at your back."
an excellent balance was struck during the reception as a few emotional toasts were artfully offset by a cadre of beermongers who broke out the trusty beer whistle during the candlelight dinner. nothing like a volcanic ash cave to capture the electricity of a shrill whistle.
the town of Calistoga provided an entertaining playground both before the wedding and after. particularly memorable was an interesting encounter with a local character called Calistoga Joe. this guy rode a criuser bike tricked out with all sorts of flair, and he sported a red sports coat and a headress of turkey feathers. "I used to work for turkeys," he explained. "Now i wear them on my head."
night time took us to the hydro grill where we mixed it with the locals and jammed to a beatles cover band.
the good times rolled as the jagger flowed, and only some of us were asked never to return.
and so doth one chapter end, and another begin.
and as our hero continues on the journey, he now has a better half to show him the way...
