A Bojon Piece of Cake
nice little bojon outing last night to catch alternative rock-funk band Cake at the Independent. killer show, with front man john mccrea exuding all sorts of charisma. the anti-music label, us-against-the-world chatter a tad too heavy handed, but this took nothing away from the energy this band whips up. instrumental opening band, king city, had it going on as well.

quite a treat to catch this show at such a small venue. excellent entree into the july 4th weekend...
